God is my Provider

God has truly just been providing for me and I just want to give him praise and thanks. Just recently, I went and bought some trophies for our upcoming sports tournament this Saturday to help our youth go to the Side by Side Retreat held for the CMA district of Region 5. We budgetted $800 as our max to spend, and since buying the trophies, we were down to about  $575 to spend. I calculated all the expenses that we had to spend and the budget was over a thousand dollar!! I was just blown away and shock--I just didn't think it would be that much to spend, since last year we only spent about $800-$900.
I was worried that we wouldn't have enough money to cover all our expenses just based on my estimation so I told the officers that we might have to budget a little higher (the actual amount that we have in our account was around $900). We might've even had had to pull from our pockets to get some supplies.
I remember just telling the Lord: "God, you are my sole provider. I trust that You will come through and provide the financial needs that we need to get this done."--as I lay ther eon my bed praying this, I feel asleep content.
Last week was Molly's wedding and our youth went out to help her decorate and set up chairs/tables. It was a just a little frustrating because we didn't really know what to do, and I'm sure Molly was even more frustrated about it all (God bless her soul).
We helped set up chairs and tables, and then we went and play volleyball.
Afterwards, my sibs and I, along with Ms. Angela and her brother Tom, and two of my youth girls Mindy and Heaven stayed up pretty late just decorating the service room and reception room. We had fun, but it was also SO very tiring. Word of advice: Never let the guys do their own decorating unless a girl is there to help supervise. (Haha)
I just wanted to really thank Angela (My New Roomie This Fall) for being there to help us. Just because she's a sister from another church, but she helped stayed until like the very end, to help decorate. I know its hard for some of our youth to come out and help because they don't have rides and because of work and such, but I thank God for providing helpers when time is needed. (Many thanks to Karissa and Christina for coming out to help too! ^__^)
The day of the wedding: I had to work in the morning so I couldn't come help out with the cooking, however, Molly's mom had wanted us to watch the kids during the ceremony so that they don't disturb the wedding. Of course, I got there about 30 minutes late, and thank goodness Grace was there to help gather up the kids. Grace has just been another blessing that the Lord has put on for this year's officers.
Me and Grace had split the kids up with those wanting to go outside and play baseball vs those who just wanted to stay in the nursery. I ended up playing baseball with the group of kids who wanted to play that and I must say, we all had so much fun. I met some new kids, who by the way were so kute.
At the end of ceremony, we all went to eat. Even though I missed the whole ceremony, getting to spend time with  new/old kids was pretty fun. They all asked me to go and play baseball with them later on, but I had to help cleaned so we never got around to it. :)
The following day, Sunday, we received $200 from Molly mom's for helping out with the wedding and in return, she donated that much back to us. Truly Amazing right? All thanks be to God, our heavenly Father.

So...with all that, it comes to my main point that God is our Sole Provider. "The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety." (Psalm 18:2)

  1. Whoa. I didn't know this much was going on. God is truly good to His children! :) Praise Him for providing and watching over all of us. Amazing. And of course, no problem, it was good helping (Though I didn't do much and came a bit late.)
